BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund Announces Executive and Board of Directors for 2007/2008
BURNABY — Heather Wilson, Burn Fund Director and Chair of the Nomination Committee announced the election results from the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund Annual General Meeting held Wednesday, May 9, 2007.
Al Leier, BC Professional Fire Fighters Association President, Prince George Fire Fighters Local 1372, was re-elected as President of the Burn Fund.
Harold Heyming, Kelowna Fire Fighters Local 953 was elected to the position of Secretary/Treasurer. He replaces Robert E. Hall, Vancouver Fire Fighters Local 18, who resigned due to medical reasons after serving in the position for the past seven years.
Tony Burke, Coquitlam Fire Fighters Local 1782, was re-elected for his sixth term as Executive Director of the Burn Fund.
Ken Mollan, White Rock Fire Fighters Local 2407 was re-elected to the executive position of Assistant to the Executive Director.
Burn Fund Directors re-elected for a two-year term are:

- Wil Patterson, Port Moody Fire Fighters Local 2399
- Kristy Storey, Delta Fire Fighters Local 1763

Newly elected to the Board of Directors is Martin Drakeley, Nanaimo Fire Fighters Local 905.
Serving as Directors in the middle of their two-year terms are:
- Earl Steele, Prince George Fire Fighters Local 1372
- Heather Wilson, Burnaby Fire Fighters Local 323
- Tim Baillie, Surrey Fire Fighters Local 1271
- Jason Milne, Trail Fire Fighters Local 941
- Ryan Cail, Kamloops Fire Fighters Local 913
- Ray Boucher, Coquitlam Fire Fighters Local 1782
- Greg Batters, Victoria Fire Fighters Local 730

Stepping down as a Director was Terry Abrams of North Vancouver District Fire Fighters Local 1183. He served on the Board for 14 years.
The Burn Fund is a registered charity established in 1978 by the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association. The Burn Fund provides life saving, life supporting, and life enriching services to the people in British Columbia.
More than 3,400 professional fire fighters from forty-eight communities around the province are building the Burn Fund’s vision. They dedicate their time and skills to support burn survivors and increase the public’s knowledge about fire and burn safety issues through the work the Burn Fund does with its Burn Awareness, Research and Prevention Programs.
