Bright Nights in Stanley Park Raises $271,621.81 for the Burn Fund

The 10th Annual Bright Nights in Stanley Park, a joint event of the BCPFF Burn Fund and the Vancouver Board Park, raised a record $271,621.81 for the Burn Fund and its programs.

Over 200,000 people attended the event this year.  “We are extremely pleased with the support of the public and our sponsors.  Over 500 fire fighters contribute more than 8,000 hours to set up the event so it is a huge community effort to make this event successful,” says Ray Boucher, Burn Fund Director and Chair of the Bright Nights Committee.  “The funds raised will make a huge difference to burn survivors and their families in our province.”

The monies raised go directly to the Burn Fund, which provides life saving, life supporting and life enriching services to the people in BC.  More than 3,600 professional fire fighters around the province are building the Burn Fund’s vision.  They dedicate their time and skills to support burn survivors and increase the public’s knowledge about fire and burn safety issues through the work the Burn Fund does with its Burn Awareness, Research and Prevention programs.
